The course
How much coding do I need?
The basics. If you can run a script from a terminal, you're ready: every step is shown with screenshots.
Not a coder? The Writers' Room Kit needs no code: it's prompts, a scoring rubric and annotated scripts for planning episodes. Or just enjoy the episodes.
Can I use your characters?
No. Devansh and his sidekick stay ours, and they aren't included in anything we sell. Module 2 helps you design characters you can own outright.
Do I get your 3D renderer or characters?
No. Both contain our characters. Module 6 teaches the techniques, and the example project shows them on a neutral character, so you can build your own renderer.
How long does the course take?
Plan a few weekends for your first episode: read a module, then build along with it.
The tools
Where do the tools run?
On your own Mac with Apple Silicon. Each one comes with a step-by-step guide with screenshots.
Do the tools phone home?
No. No telemetry or analytics: the tools never contact us, and your project files never leave your Mac. There's nothing to activate, either: you download the files and use them.
Pricing and payment
How do I buy?
Pick a plan on the pricing page. Its button takes you to our Merchant of Record's checkout; you pay once, and your receipt and a link to your download library arrive by email, usually within minutes.
Can I pay in rupees, with UPI?
Not through our own UPI checkout yet: that comes in a later phase. For now you buy at our payment provider's checkout, which shows the price for India in rupees and your final total, including any tax, before you pay, with the payment methods it offers in India. If you pay by card, it must allow international payments, and your bank may add a forex fee.
Is there a team licence?
Yes, planned: Course + Toolbox for up to 5 named seats. It opens after the single-seat products.
Will I get updates?
Yes: v1.x updates for at least 12 months after you buy, through the same download library. The tools keep working after that.
Refunds
What's your refund policy?
All sales are final: there are no refunds for change of mind on any product. Our products are instant digital downloads that can't be returned, and the Chai Round is a pay-what-you-want contribution. Please check What you need and the product page before you buy, and ask us if you're unsure.
If something's broken or not as described, we fix or replace it, and if we can't, we refund it. If it never arrives, or arrives later than our delivery policy promises, we refund it. Full details in the refund policy.
I'm in the EU or UK. Can I still withdraw?
For digital content supplied straight away, you lose the 14-day right to withdraw only if, before the download starts, you expressly agree to immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose it, and this is confirmed in your receipt. Where the law allows, we ask for that at checkout. If you weren't asked, or didn't agree, the right still applies. The Chai Round isn't supplied at checkout, so you can withdraw from a Chai Round payment within 14 days of paying. See the refund policy.
Lawyer/CA note (remove before launch): this answer depends on the checkout capturing EU/UK consent and on how the Chai Round is classified. Resolve both with the notes in section 3 of the refund policy, and change this answer to match.
Licence
Do I have to credit you or add a badge?
No. What you make is yours, with no royalties, ever: on channels that earn money, in sponsored posts and adverts, and in projects you're paid to make for clients. No badge, watermark or credit line is required. A shout-out is welcome, never a condition.
Can I share the tools with my team?
A personal licence covers one named person. For a small team, a team licence for up to 5 seats is coming later. Please keep the tools, prompts and lessons to yourself and your seats: don't pass on copies or post them publicly. See the licence.
Can I use what I buy on more than one Mac?
Yes. A personal licence covers one person on every Mac they use, with nothing to activate.
Privacy
Where does my data go?
If you buy, our Merchant of Record shares your name, email, country and product with us so we can deliver and support it. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you. Card and bank details go straight to the payment provider and never reach us. We use no advertising trackers, and never sell data. Read the privacy notice.
About the episodes
Is Devansh's sidekick based on a real product?
No. It's an original animated character we designed and animated ourselves, and the episodes are fiction. More in the disclaimer.
Will this grow my channel or earn me money?
We can't promise that, and nobody honest can. We show you how to make episodes. Your reach, followers and earnings depend on you, the platforms and plenty of luck. We make no earnings claims.
Can you make an episode for my brand?
Possibly. Tell us about it on the contact page. Client work uses Devansh or characters made for you.
